eat big- you dont eat you dont grow, simple as, set yourself a wieght goal, high protein, high complexed carbs, 5-9 meals a day, your gotta eat to recover, you dont wanna have loads of muscle sorness on the field

train big- heavy weights, suitable rep range, your gonna be playing games probably once a week and training often, so hit the weights hard

sleep big- atleast 8 hours a night, you gotta recover and grow which is all done throughout the nights

stick to the basics and youl go far

Honestly, doesn't your coach teach you these things? I've never heard of a team where there isn't a coach or head that doesn't lead the training for its football players.

I used Derek Salvatore's implosive training routine, it works best just for people that want to build up solely large biceps. First two weeks you train biceps twice (or three times) a week with 20-40 percent of your 1 rep max for biceps, and you do everything to failure for 14-20 sets (Depending on expertise).

Next 3 weeks you go 80-90 percent to failure for at least 10-15 sets twice a week. Then the last 2 weeks you go 95 percent 1rm 10 sets and finish up with 3-6 sets of at least 120 percent negatives.

Really works for biceps.
best advice I have ever heard. You do lighter work on your arms in general because if you over develop the triceps or the delts then the biceps will look alot smaller. lmfao

I just don't understand how anyone from a football team, especially a linebacker would not have acess to information from a coach on how to do things. As far as I know when your too small or incapable they either play a different player or tell you to gain weight.

you don't need bicep at all to play football. beside don't your coaches give you a training routine. when i played high school they gave us a specific routine and we only include bicep to keep the body balance, it was only two bicep work outs we did. If you play linebacker forget about bicep, concentrate on legs you need it for the drive force and your shoulder and traps so you could have extra support when hitting. FORGET ABOUT BICEP ITS USELESS FOR FOOTBALL YOUR NOT GOING INTO THE FIELD TO LOOK PRETTY YOU GO TO HIT SOMEBODY.

Include lots of triceps dips (between benches), add a weight plate or 2 or 3 when you are ready. Try to get 3 sets, go safe but heavy!! Up your protein/creatine as much as you can without gaining excess weight!

If I recall, biceps are the least of what a wrestler needs. The sport focus mostly on leg strength. I may be wrong, but many friends are wrestlers and have told me this.

Ipsa scientia potestas est.

Proof that hard work grants success:
Postulate 1: Knowledge is Power
Postulate 2: Time is money
Postulate 3: Success is measure by wealth

In physics,
Power = Work / Time

Substitution dictates:
Knowledge = Work / Money

Solve for Money which = Success:
Money = Success = Work / Knowledge

Thus, success is determined by the amount of work you put in so long as you maintain a certain level of knowledge :)

I really don't get wrestling... The logic of it is totally absurd... the idea of laying on your back being the equal to absolute defeat, which spawns the strategy of willingly surrendering the back to the opponent just doesn't get inside my brain... If martial arts are a model for fighting, how can you have rules that favour behaviours that would, in a real fight, land you inches from meeting your maker?
Dunno, but I agree much more with the whole grappling/BJJ logic...
