at 154lbs you are in the 165lb weight class...

Here are the classes corresponding to the total (bench + squat + deadlift) for the 165 lb class:

elite - 1572
master - 1400
class1 - 1257
class2 - 1102
class3 - 965
class4 - 838

So with this, you add up your big 3 and see where you stand. To compete, you don't need to be able to lift any certain weight, you just gotta pay the fee to enter the competition.

Hi your in UK so the choices are BPC, BPO, BWLA, BDFPA
I have competed in BWLA for over 30 years and now with the BPC if you look through my youtube collection you can see the differences in the federations ie monolift vs IPF Combo etc
YouTube - Hirepgym's Videos
you will also see i train with some of the top lifters in UK and the world and the gyms they use are in the videos the fastest way to learn is doing a novice comp and visiting these gyms to see for yourself how its done

what makes the difference in the class 1,2,3,and 4 is it just weight lifted or are there other factors
