I'll do Kettlebell snatches on my bench day for a compound tri lift.

EDIT: damn, i was thinking about kettlebell swing and presses not snatches. long day :(

A snatch is leg driven. The upperbody only stabalizes the weight.

I'd like to see a video of a kettlebell snatch.

I do kettle bell swings on back day.

well i decided to mix in some db snatches into my workout.... to answer my own question. i guess i could say....i really felt it in the leg drive, almost like plyometrics. i didnt really feel anything in the upper body. it was my first time and i put up 80's pretty easily. i hope to do a real snatch soon, and incorporate them into my work outs

I always did Db Snatches and barbell snatches as a warm up before I did Power Cleans or Dead lifts, I did this for around 3 months and my clean went from 295-330. I found that the DB Snatches warmed me up really good before my hard lifts.

Be sure to practice with light weight first and gain a sense of balance with the weight, otherwise it could be pretty embarrassing... not like I'm talking from personal experience or anything.

Never do more than 6 reps for db snatches if you are doing it for power, I tried them with high reps and you get so fatigued after 6 that it is very hard to keep form.

Dumbell snatches require a great deal of back strength along with hip strength. Depending on what you are training for, they could be incorporated into a deadlift dominant or squat dominant day.

When I do them, I do them on my deadlift dominant day.
