hi guys, bin working out now for about 8 years and not progresing as much as id like to so im changing my reps from sets of 8-10 to more of a pwerlifting set...any tips for me to help with m gains??

Heard that the 8 reps should be the ultimative way, but you have to change some of the exercises sometimes, so they muscle don't get too used to it.. Only what I've heard / read

you sure you want to powerlift ? its a totaly different ball game you can build quality muscle using it but its more a test of pure strength .
Advantages : you can get to compete more often in fact most people who call themselves bodybuilders never set foot on a stage let alone win anything unlike powerlifting everyones got a chance at winning something.

well im just trying it for a couple of months and see how i do... plus ive got a guy to help me who has/ had uk records for powerlifting and hoping he helps me gain like he used to

best thing to do is get yourself into a novice comp as soon as you can you wont learn any faster than getting involved in competition

8 years training & at 158lbs is not good progress mate, sorry to say. post your daily diet & training routine.

what i see here is a poor diet through those years of training

And being a powerlifter you don't have to worry about your diet as much as bb's. But if you have long limbs it makes big lifts a lot harder.

your not alone there a lot of us know better but dont do it Lol Kerry Kayes, Grayham Black and myself live on curry most of the time and if it wasnt for the odd protien drink we would be lost
