Wrestling season is going to start in late October and I want this season to be the best...Last year's winter season I didn't even win a medal, none the less the top 5...The main reason for that was because I relied on my 4-5 practices a week for the exersise that I needed and i didn't even touch a wieght last season...but this season i will be starting a program that I made by myself:

Monday - Barbell Press behind Neck 3x12
Side Lateral Raises 3x12
Snatch 3x20
Bench Press 3x12
Dumbell Flyes 3x12
Tricep Kickbacks 3x12
Hanging Leg Raises 3x20

Wednesday - Bent-Over Rows 3x12
Chin Ups 3x12
Barbell Curls 3x12
Hammer Curls 3x12
Stiff Legged Dead Lift 3x12
Dumbell Pullover 1x20
Wrist Curls 3x20

Friday - Breathing Squats 1x20
Dumbelle Pullover 1x20
Clean and Jerk 3x20
Leg Extentions 3x12
Leg Curls 3x12
Seated Calf Raises 3x12
Wieghted Crunches 3x20

So what do you guys think???

For you're 1x20 and 3x20 sets, you should probably increase the weight and make it a 3x10, 8 or 6. 20 is a bit much.

do you want to be a powerlifter like the title of the thread is, or a wrestler like you say in the thread. If you want to be a powerlifter the training is all wrong. Il help you out if you want to be a powerlifter, as for wrestling il leave that to someone else

Yer, I do both. I've only ever done one PL show, but I wrestle every year in high school. I won MVP last year. I can't really help you out there, but in so far as PL goes, YM123 will be glad to help

I would focus on core strength. Get a tire and get a big sludge hammer and pound away. Use balance discs and also get a swiss ball. Core strength is VERY important in wrestling. Ognick is a wrestler and might have some more tips but he hasn't been on lately.
