Who uses a monolift? OR who has? After working in one I have never gone back. It is just so much more controled and safer.

For those of you that do use a monolift have you added chains to your for added safety?

I would like to try those weight releasers for the bench press.

Bench press is the one thing we have not used them on so far what with chains, boards, football bars and bands it all gets a bit complicated and hard to find the time for

still early days using them on squat and GM's
these are our first attempts with them so forgive the performances as we had to experiment

I'd love to get a monolift in the PL gym i go to. I got underneith one in the warmup room at the wnpf meet.

I can definitely see how you can get used to something like that. I'm always figiting to get my feet set before i go down and it'd be much easier w/o 400+ on the shoulders.

you can get one or two teething troubles when you first set them up , if you look at westside they had to make a hole in the ceiling for the counter balance weight , the locking handle can sometimes jam up when its new and they are not very user friendly with very short people as when the lift is lowered beyond a certain hight the bar catchers point forwards and the lifter tends to keep the bar in contact with the catchers so you cant unlock the handle

Sorry to ask a potentially dumb question, but what is the point of the weight releases? Just to emphasize the lowering motion?
