First off I was wondering if anyone had any links to sites or forums that were targeted towards powerlifting, and if anyone does can they send me it?

I also wanted to know if anyone could tell me what I should aim for strength wise for bench, squat and deadlift while at a body weight from 180-190 pounds.

Reason i'm asking is because I want to compete sometime next year in either bodybuilding or powerlifting. I think bodybuilding competitions might be harder for me to get into than powerlifting competitions at this point, but I also don't want to try to go into a powerlifting competition too soon if its not a attainable goal to get to within a year.

elite fitness, steroidology, iron trybe, ironasylumgym, fortified iron, team sniffy

raw or suited? THe weight class would be 181 or 198. Here are a bunch of meet results. Look at the AAPF lifts for your weight class if you are going to compete frug free or APF if you are to compete untested

YOu need to decide what federation you want to lift in and I would say that poer;lifting would be MUCH easier for you to get into.

Thanks alot man. You don't know how much I appreciate the reply. When I do compete i'll be going raw and after I look around i'll decide weather I want to compete at 198 or 181. I'm 190 pounds right now so depending on how my training goes for the next couple of months i'll decide how to go.

I looked around a bit. So what i've decided to do is go for a drug free, raw federation and look to compete at 181 pounds.

For now my long term goals and lifts are

Goals:
Squat:440 1rm
Bench:330 1rm
Deadlift:4001rm

Current lifts:
Squat:265 3 reps
Bench:225 1rep
Deadlift225X5 reps

My goals might be a little hefty to get within a year, but I honestly think these are feasible numbers for me to shoot for.

Strange that your squat is better than your deadlift. It's normally the other way round.

YOur gaol is feasable. WHat federation are you looking at? I would avoid the APF and SLP.

I haven't really tried to go that high on deadlift yet. I wanted to make sure my form was as near perfect as it could be before I decide to go higher. I also wound up doing alot of reps because I didn't know where a good place would be to start off from because I hadn't done it that much.

And I think the federation is ADFPA

A raw traning cycle. Hmmm, Try looking into westside barbel routines or Metal militia, ed coan etc.

I could recomend an entire routine for you but I don't do that for free.
