crazy. If there worried about sharing of software or music or whatever it should be up to the creators and producers of these items to encrypt them so that cant be done and if they feel a law aginst the programs that allow recording of streaming music. There are other ways of going about in rather then breaching peoples liberties of right to privacy.

Its not even about anything other then money. They arnt geting a piece of the action no tx collected on dled songs or programs.

Obama doesn't give a crap about music, it's just another way for the government to spy on you.

It's not about software piracy man, feels more like they're taking peoples liberties away. I make music and I know many companies that make their music programs almost impossible to crack, so there is no need for the government to step in and help these companies. Its not about piracy

total bull****, has nothing to do with piracy the government has never cared nor will they ever care about it. As usual there is some underlying benefit they've just gained from passing this law. Off to delete 90% of the **** on my pc.

Rule number one, never keep anything you don't want someone to get access to on a computer that goes on the internet or is on a network.

I think it's a huge problem but also I can understand it being done. I kind of expected it to be done 10 years ago but i knew it would happen. The problem is you get connected to the internet and that is a PUBLIC domain. Once you do that, I think you give up any sense of privacy, files downloaded, internet history, etc. But it's impossible and dumb to have a device like a blackberry that has no wireless reception because you need to do email, answer questions using google or w/e search engine and all the other stuff you do with the internet. The premise is far too large, I don't think it will go very far. There have to be restrictions on what devices or what they are exactly looking for and how they go about looking for it. I know some airport stories about laptops just taken from you point blank and there's nothing you can do about it, that's scary, **** just taken from you and nothing you can do about it.

Yeah but they can call it homeland security act, BS#100012123443 and say it is the best interest of the country. One thing you all have to realize is the government and a lot of people in it are two faced fing crooks that say and do two different things and they will find a way to get what they want at whatever cost.

They don't like something, they make it illegal, they want to be able to snoop on your sh*t, they make it a security act. I can't even imagine all the type of invasion of our privacy they already use and don't have to disclose it because they called it a security act.

Their first and main interest is keeping their jobs, who knows how far down the list the people of this country actually show up on the list of top priorities.

Homeland security is a joke, where I live and it isn't even the worst place I have lived, you can still get your ass knifed or shot just walking down the street minding your own business and they want to worry about what's on my computer? F*ck them.

Yea after what? They put that one guy that had a legal medical shop and never had one violation and they are trying to give the guy life in prison. It's amazing that people like george washington and benjamin franklin and thomas jefferson used or had the stuff on their own land, our founding fathers and they throw the book at some guy trying to legally sale it to a cancer patient with a medical weed card.

It's so fing mind blowing they make something illegal because it is bad for your body, like weed, but you can smoke and drink yourself to death legally every day as much as you want. People have smoked weed for 1,000's of years, it was made illegal because they used it as a fuel source and the oil guys didn't like the competition.

Two faced a-holes, throw your ass in jail, then they want to make some money off the sh*t and now it isn't "that" bad for you so they would consider selling it. WTF
