None of them actually campaigned against McCain in the primary. It was McCain's 'turn'. The GOP wanted McCain so they ran him.
Nuff Said.

All of them campaigned against Mccain... what are u talking about... its called the primaries. People vote and if the people can't decide by the end its the decision of the party during the Republican Convention. It didn't go that far. Mccain wrapped up the Republican primaries extremely early aka he beat everybody(Guiliani, Thompson, Paul, Huckabee, Romney etc). The American people in the early states decided not the GOP.
All politicians but especially republicans are fake, lying *******s who might actually know the truth but refuse to say it because they are too busy pandering to there lobbyists. Just look at the way they treated ron paul when he actually spoke the truth about 9/11. He said the reason that they attacked us was because we were over there bombing them for years. Truth. Rudy Guiliani responded by saying something like, to say that we invited the attacks is absurb, and I've heard some pretty ridiculous things.
I don't agree with ron paul economically but a non-intervention policy is probably one of the most conservative principles yet when ron paul brings it up people look at him and attack him like hes a crazy old man. mccain used to keep it real before the lobbyists got ahold of him and told him everything to say and do. He wanted to pick Joe Leiberman as his running mate but unfortunately in washington the actual politicians don't get the final say, thats up to the campaign advisors and the people who control the money.
For all of you that don't think Bush is so bad this is his legacy:
-Expanding government in almost every department but especially Department of Eduacation and Defense and creating a Department of Homeland Security that gets no oversight and is pretty much useless.
-2 wars that were not declared and are not constitutional
-patriot act which restricts the rights of all citizens during all times and is infact unconstitutional since we never made a declaration of war
-No child left behind act which provides more funding for schools that do well. That makes a lot of sense, giving less funding to schools that need it more.
He made government larger than any period in US history, created more government regulation, involved himself in two wars (to be fair one was somewhat justified but is useless now) and who said this guy was conservative. These are just facts off the top of my head, with my opinion mingled in, not stats that I compiled. People wonder why the world detests America. I love America but I feel like were sailing on remnants of what we once were. We are barely a shadow of what we once were.
