Honestly, I couldn't agree with you more on this. I also did my part in the fight agains socialism, but the American sheeple left us all hanging.

Don't get me wrong, I think McCain sucks too, just not as hard as Obama.
But, he's in now, so... all we can do is get ready to eat a huge **** sandwich for at least the next four years... and pray that the GOP doesn't try to run Palin in 2012.
Oh I can't stand him!! His whole " hey lets take money that the people who worked for it and deserve it and give it to the lazy pieces of **** who don't want to be responsible and get out of bed and work for a living" attitude is the worst thing america could have. Why punish me or you because of lazy people not wanting to be responsible? It's just ridiculous. And mike trust me when you get out in the working world you'll understand it more. Not saying you're wrong, because everyone is entitled to their opinion, but he is completely not fair to america. America isn't the land of the free anymore it's the land of the lazy who need others to go out and work for them so they can continue to be lazy. And besides obama is good friends with terrorists and and crooked people. NOt the person I want running the country. America is on a downward slope and it's not looking good. We need someone who will do good for the people who deserve it and not protect the weak. Hell even his own VP said he's more then likely going to do things america isn't going to like and we'll end up being mad at him. What a joke!!!

Answer to this election:
Raise the voting age to 21.
Keep the military age to 18. Yes I know "Its not fair if someone can't vote for the person they are going to die for" and to that I will always say when you choose to join a military force you choose to live by and die by your country, not the people that are guiding it.

Prevent the schools of brain washed highschool kids who follow like sheep to their parents political views, their schools political views and peer pressure to join in with their friends and do the cool pop culture vote.

It's the truth, I'm under 18 but I still agree to the voting age cuz people are uninformed a lot of the time.

Same here, I know people that voted him just because of his race, thats it. I know people that also voted for him because he wants to get out of the war, what people don't understand is that even if he stops the war, it's not going to happen in 6 months. First off, they need to pull out in a way that the people who want to hurt our troops don't know they are pulling out. Then you need to pull out troops in a way that secures the safety of the troops already there with a LESSER amount of troops.

Well for me I think the best response I heard was when a woman was asked by a reporter how she felt about Obama she replied ( not exact qote) " now I dont have worry about my gas, my mortgage, etc If I take care of him, he will take care of me" Indication Obama is going to give. Thats whats most people dont understand that under his policys at least during his campaign there going to pay the price if you really disect the proposals.

Another thing, if Bush was so bad, I havent heard one word yet about any plans on reversing any of the bushes so called bad judgements. Just fruit for thought

But I am glad to see how much this electon has affected people here in the U.S though most people are still clueles a lot more peole became educated during this election than prior.

If bush was so bad the first four years, I don't see why the same people that got Obama in didn't get Kerry in. But Kerry was a flip flopper AKA he was a politician that actually change his mind, god no, thats so unpolitically correct to do and so unamerican that most of the red states you saw vote Bush in for president were blue this year, yay for hypocrisy.

To top the moron off, he picked Jenifer Granholm for his economic advisor. I don't know if any of you live in MIchigan (where granholm is governor) but the economy here is far worse then many other states. She is the worst thing that has happened to michigan and is the worst thing to happen to america. This just keeps getting better and better every time I turn on the tv. If you can't take care of one state then what the **** does he think she can do for the whole country? That's it I'm running for president next time!!!

Oh yeah I did a report on it in english class McCain wants to creat 45 nuclear power plants and dump the waste on a mountain ijn NEvada! This is obviously dangerous for wildlife and water supplies. he wants to up it to 100 in the future this is so stupid I don't think I even need to explain any further.

Obama is making coal companies have carbon trapping systems and past permits as to control the amount of carbon dioxide (major greenhouse gas) released annually,

Did you know the global warming isn't even a proven fact?

I think it's a little haphazard to say "dump", the Yucca project was planned for a few years now, it's not just a place where they throw the waste in the ground, it would be a holding facility for nuclear waste. Said mountain

It would be a containment lab, not a landfill. The geological effects of nuclear waste being held in containers would be what?

thats fine If you want to take the troops out tommorow. Wouldnt be the smartest action but lets just say he had a time line for December. You dont tell the enemy who your winning against that your leaving the country by decemeer. What would you do if you were in there shoes. You would hide and come out when were gone right? Simple.

Yup. That war is going to be going on for years to come. The next president will have to deal with it I'd bet. Even if they say we're pulling out there will still be american troops there for as long as it's possible. We're America and we have to be in every other country we can or our government starts to cry. And Gorilla you're right on the race thing going both ways, but any smart american would see past the bull**** obama talks and see that he's not for the american people but instead for the lazy. He's not cut out and doesn't have the experience needed to do the job. John McCain wasn't the best choice out of all the people who could have ran for president but he was a better choice then Obama.

Im sure there are people that vote just because of McCain being white, just because hes a republican and because of friends voting for him. However, when you have things like black and latino voting trend shooting up and Obama winning states that were republican a few years back, it says a lot.

Obama is making coal companies have carbon trapping systems and past permits as to control the amount of carbon dioxide (major greenhouse gas) released annually,

It would be a containment lab, not a landfill. The geological effects of nuclear waste being held in containers would be what?
It would still endanger wildlife. I don't know a whole lot about nuclear waste but wouldn't it still pollute the environment like the fumes coming off it and getting absorbed into the ground? How long would this mountain hold 45-100 plants worth of nuclear waste before it's full, then what? All the waste isn't just gonna go away and I think it would cause further problems in the future.

Obama's plan is much better, the reason McCain wanted to do that was the cut down on greenhouse gases. To actually have an impact on the ozone layer's depletion (if it is infact a real problem) I believe it was a 80% decrease in greenhouse gas emissions.under McCain's plan this wouldn't be done. Under Obama's it will be. He will decrease the amount coal companies put out for one and also will use wind wheels- or whatever they're called- to create energy which has already started happening in my area, which obviously has no side effects like nuclear waste does.

See my thoughts are that the U.S. gets into more of other country's business than it should. Right now we're trying to help the Iraqis fight the Al Qauda and the Taliban it's costed us (from what I remember) 85 plus billion dollars in war expenses and our business over there was a done a long time ago. No more of our soldier need to die and tax money wasted. This would also help our economy by lowering gas prices among other things.

Obama's 16 month time table is a goal but if something new arises he won't just abandon the problem becuase of the time he said. I believe this was just to give the voters a stronger believe of his anti war thoughts. He does want the war to end I'm sure and if he can he'll prolly take the troops out sooner.

You guys probably know more about this stuff than I do but this is the opinion I've made.

forget about the greenhouse effect, nuclear energy is far more efficent than anything available at the moment. Storage I believe will be much more safer with modern technology and the new reactors. Iwas on a aircraft carrier that was ran by 2 nuclear reactors. When I had gotten to that ship it was going through mid life maintenace and everything was getting changed and upgraded including the nuclear reactors. That meant that huge carrier had supplied with energy for over 25 years the cores themselves can last up to 50 years only needing to be refueled every 10 years. No known accidents or threats form the reactors on board.

Coal
Pros
Inexpensive
Easy to recover (in U.S. and Russia)

Cons
Requires expensive air pollution controls (e.g. mercury, sulfur dioxide)
Significant contributor to acid rain and global warming
Requires extensive transportation system

Nuclear Fuel
Pros
is inexpensive
Energy generation is the most concentrated source
Waste is more compact than any source
Extensive scientific basis for the cycle
Easy to transport as new fuel
No greenhouse or acid rain effects

Cons
Requires larger capital cost because of emergency, containment, radioactive waste and storage systems
Requires resolution of the long-term high level waste storage issue in most countries
Potential nuclear proliferation issue

Nuclear energy to is a much more smarter method thinkig of long term. Coal and offshore drilling would have provided enough to began plans and construction of nuclear powerplants. Thats where our dam bail out should be going at least some of it lol

That's the thing about war. NO matter when we pull out there will still be fighting going on over there. We can't just go in and destroy a whole country and then pull out like it never happened, we will still have to be there in the long run to protect what we went over there for which is oil. No matter what though if we did just up and leave then people would bitch about us leaving them high and dry just like they bitch about us being there in the first place. The human race does one thing really well and that's complain. I bet it all in his so called 16 month plan were still in there in the same amount of number of troops and money were in now. It's not going to just end as fast as it started. Obama used that line because he knew it was the only thing that would give him an edge over McCain because McCain was honest about war. He knows all about it and obama has no clue.

I agree. I live next to a nuclear power plant and there's nothing mutated or weird around us. I will admit it would be safer to hold a lump of coal in your hand then some nuclear waste but in the long run the nuclear is safer. IMO We need to switch to geothermal, solar and wind. Those are the safest for us and the enviroment and we have everything we need for it right here in the US.

Comon man, desert ecosystem is inclusive to what? Ants, small prey animals, snakes, scorpions, sparse plant life, various other insects. These aren't species of animals that are really significant, or even in high enough concentrations to be a concern. These places are built with the intention of preventing spill overs and contamination.

I don't know how well they can hold all the nuclear waste from all those plants, I can't throw any figures at you so I won't try to make them up.

Eventually they will find ways of processing nuclear waste into usable products, technology advances rapidly.

I don't see why the US doesn't have claim to some percent of that oil. 50 years ago that would've been considered spoils of war.

very right thomas...gotta love the spoils of war. and yes that place has been holding nuclear waste for years, ya gotta put your **** somewhere... nuclear is the only logical way to go...there are always going to be reasons that we go to war some of which we will not know because of the government... right winged or left wing someone always pulls a trigger
