He was awesome, I am a fan of his for a long time.

I still believe he won the Olympia in Sydney (81 I think ??) Arnold only got cause he was Arnold.

80 but yea Bill Pearl was the head judge and a friend of arnolds at that olympia but it doesn't matter now though. mentzer just looks think maybe HIT would do me some good.

I also think Mentzer should have won the '80 O (Platz should have won in '81).

In the '80 O video they don't show much of Mentzer. Wonder why?

If you look at the pics in his books, he was just awesome.

His back was really detailed, abs were tight, always had great calves, massive forearms, classic posing... what more do you want?

This guy had an awesome body. If i had to choose the top three physiques in body building that i would actually want to have it would include him (or Ray) along with Serge Nubret and Steve Reeves.

P.S. Notice in the pic where he is a doing a double-bicep with Weider behind him one of his arms is about ten times more vascular than the other for some reason?
