Hey everyone. So far I've found alot of great advice here on BBD so Thank you!

Anyway, last month I took a new job and am working nights 6 days a week 7pm to 7:30 or so am. I had a decent diet before at my old job, but could only eat the usual 3 times a day. So at least at my new job I have a break every 2 hours so I have time to scarf down some quick food/snacks. Only thing is I want to get my sh*t back on track. I usually get off work, eat a bowl of rasin bran or something like that, and go to sleep, and wake up between 2 and 4pm so I have time to work out.

Does anyone have any advice/ examples to start a night time diet? Also, I hate spending time cooking and what not so stuff that is easy to throw together quickly in a rush, or in just a few minutes would be great.

Thanks!
J

So you say your last job you had a decent diet yet you only ate 3 times a day? And with this new job you can eat something every 2 hours? Sounds like your last schedule was worse than this one IMO. First off, are you trying to gain mass or loose it..

haha- well the eating schedule was worse most deffinetly. So I am glad that I can eat 6/7 times a night now ! Anyways- I meant that in my last diet I was eating more healthy, lots of protiens, veggies, potatoes, pastas, and mostly chicken to eat. I cut out alot of beef, except when out to eat and I order a huge freakin slab of steak that is moderately cooked. Also, I cut out soda completely, and only slammed down gatorade or powerade type drink after lifting to increase insulin output and then drank a protien shake.

I am looking to gain mass..

Since my first posts on here I finished out the LC Sciences trifecta stack and pct. I have pretty much been clean for 3 weeks and looking to start fresh. After the water from the creatine capsules diminished I notice the puffiness went away and gained some more definition.

Thanks HP!

I personally wouldn't drink gatoraide/powerade after a workout its filled with the sugar you don't want. If you can get your hands on dextrose/waxy maize def do that other wise try to get a fast digesting carb source. white bread/potato

I will do that.

I was told by a PT/ builder down in TX to slam something sugary after workout to increase insulin levels and then drink my protien shake so that it absorbs better.

Well two things you can look into are home made oatmeal or granola bars as well as home made jerky.

I don't know, take your macro intake then divide it by how many meals you are eating.

Well I will have to get a recipe then, lol. I can drink protien shakes while I'm working, but storing and making them would be the hard part. Unless I just used 20oz sized bottles...

I work nights as well...diet is the same as for someone who works days, just the start time is different. Breakfast is 5pm, not am. Lose the gatorade pwo, use whey and glyco/waxymaize or something similar instead.

I usually spend one day cooking food for the week and store it in the fridge. Steak, chicken, pasta, rice etc. can all be pre made and if need be pre packaged in gladware or tupperware. Fruit and salad also get prepackaged so I just grab and go.

Before the <<<< arm fun, I was either working out after waking up (5-6 PM) or the next morning (8-9 AM), depending on how I was feeling and needing to get done that day.

On days I worked out after waking up, it was usually a shake right away, and then workout, then pwo shake and a meal soon after (oatmeal, some kind of protein, eggs/cheese). Days I worked out after work, shake right away after waking, then a regular meal a bit later on, usually ate the same kinds of meals, just 1 "step" earlier as the timing was the same, just had the workout placed differently.

I could change it up as needed, but if I worked out after work for several days straight I would sleep a couple hours extra, and just start my day at 8-9 PM instead.

Yeah, I see the pic of the arm. WTF happened?

I usually wake up between 1:30 and 3:30 depending on what time I got off that morning. Itry to workout around 4-5 and scramble for shower and to throw spmethin together for dinner..

I suppose I need to get that stuff all set up so I can plan out my weeks diet instead of saying "hmm this will do" at last minute..

Torn bicep/pec last december.

Key is to pre plan and pre cook and pre package...about to package up 5 days of fruit, meat, pasta, salad in different containers. So I end up cooking one or two days a week and don't have to any others.

When ya wake up / go to sleep is up to you, just think of it as the start of the day, and the end of the day, regardless of what the "clock" says.
