Hey guys, i'm at a crossroads at the moment. I'm trying to decide if I should cut or bulk. I'm a relatively new lifter in the gym (Few months) and am about 55 lbs over weight =(.

I've been trying to decide whether to keep on a bulk diet or start to cut down but have kept off the cut by telling myself that i'll cut when I have something to show.

Anyone have advice, lose weight or gain muscle..?

Being 55lbs overweight. How do you know what you have to show.
If you keep "bulking" you will be obese.
I wouldnt say "cut" but I would say lose some weight.
Get down to like 12% BF at least, admire your body for a while then go on a good clean bulk.

So, would you suggest i lower my calorie intake to be just below maintenance levels or would it be better to keep at maintenance level and increase aerobic intensity, duration and frequency?

Sitting at about 23-24% BF% at 226lbs

Kaboom's got you covered!

55 lbs will go fast if you work hard. Don't do anything stupid like deprivation eating, that will only hurt you.
