is 5L of water a day too much?

im having an argument over some1 about how i drink 5l of water and it's too much... wtf

apparantly its bad for my kidneys

from everything ive read the more the water the better....the only way it can hurt you is if you dont pee at all for like 2 days which would be very hard to do

im not sure how much 5l is but im thinking around 2 gallons and thats close to what most people on this site drink a day

I drink 1.5-2 gallons a day. Just listen to your body. If you drink too much water is washes out the electrolytes and causes problems, but if you are peeing constantly then this should not be an issue.
