No I'm not supplementing with it. I think I might be getting too much lecithin because I can a lot of peanuts and peanut butter, I eat eggs fairly often and wheat germ a lot. All are rich sources of it, the side effects of too much are GI distress, sweating and loss of appetite, all of which I have. I decided that instead of taking the probiotic that the doctor gave me just to shut me up, that actually might things worse, I'd cut out eggs and peanuts for now. Do you guys think I could be getting too much. I've been eating 2oz of peanuts and 1 tbs of peanut butter a day, I eat WG bread and oats(do oats have wheat germ?) all the time.

The problem with cutting peanuts out is that I only have eaten 30g of fat so far today, I need at least 80g. I'm drinking straight italian dressing, but I really don't want another shot of olive oil haha. My parent refuse to buy fattier meats fattier milk or cheese. I'm kinda at a lose here. What can mix olive oil with to consume it? If I cook with it a lot will burn off.

Thanks,
Mike

2oz of peanuts? How many is that? It sounds like less than half of a handful. Also 1tbsp of peanut butter is nothing. If you are getting too much in your diet then I'm loaded with Lecithin.

Do you eat eggs everyday? I can't say I've ever had wheat germ, but I eat plenty of everything you've mentioned. I've never noticed anything negative from it.

In conclusion, Lecithin is healthy for you, and I'd think you'd have to consume massive amounts of it to see any negative side-effects. So you have "GI distress".. join the club, take some Tums. You sweat? It's the summer, get in the AC! You aren't hungry? How often do you eat and how many calories a day?

It's a good handful. It's 160 calories worth. I eat eggs most days. I know it's healthy, but I've been having digestive problems so I'm looking at all possibilities. Tums don't do anything. My appetite is extremely bad, before I started watch what I ate I was eating around 1500 calories a day, without even realizing it. I really don't like eating a lot of the time.

Not sure about the Lecithin prob, but if your looking to up your fat with out shotting olive, Avocardo's are what I always go for, also replace or add a few meals with fatty fish.

I thought of that already Zack lol. I don't it to do that because it burns off, it's expensive so I can't waste it. I don't think we have avocados, I'll look.

haha when you start to heat the pan up on a medium heat (I would go with 5) pour a couple tbsp's into to the pan before it has fully heated. This is so the oil can heat up with the pan instead of throwing it into a hot pan :)

well bro, i think i have an idea but please dont laugh. lol im an ethnic italian and my grandma used to cook with olive oil all the time. i know this isnt a recipe forum but check this out:) if you mix a tomato basil seasoning or if you like toasted garlic even or any other good flavored seasoning, you can dip your wg bread in it because olive oil enhances the flavor it doesnt taste too bad. its actually quite delicious. lol let me know if you try it
