Ok i usually drink a small whey protein shake in the morning. Its like 20g of protein and 120 calories. Then i will eat a bowl of oatmeal with honey in it. But i want to get more protein. What is the best way to get egg whites. Should i get regular eggs and spoon out the yolk? Or should i buy the cartons of "egg whites only" at the Grocery Store?

cartons are more convienent and can be consumed raw, but are more expensive.

I buy the cartons and stir them in with the oats...

Ive had the cartons before but find that they dont taste anwhere near as good as the real thing.

The good thing about the cartons though is that they don't expire half as fast as the regular eggs I find...

and if your concerned about taste I buy the Egg Creation's (they aren't as good for you as just plain egg whites but still have almost 0 carbs)

And its so much more convenient than spooning out the yolk...

I used to live off of egg whites lmao... but my parents stopped buying as many cartons :'(

if you practice you can separate the white/ yolks almost as quickly as just breaking the eggs. do not know if foodtv.com has example, but really no need for a spoon. when you crack it in half you use both side of the egg you have and kind of keep pouring the egg from one shell to the next and the white will drip down. hope that makes sense. or just boil a crap load of eggs up.

The human body cannot completely and safely digest a raw egg white. So, if you like to do the "Rocky Routine" with a raw egg or raw egg white in your drink, you are wasting your time, not to mention the threat of Salmonella. or you could get a better protein powder that has more protein in it or use 2 scoops instead of one. or add some yogurt to your shake for a small amount of extra protein.

How's that stuff back in the states? It's much more cheaper for me to buy the cartons, here in Spain I get 12 natural the real thing eggs for like 1.50 euros and i get the carton which is like 30 egg's whites for 2 euros. So I much rather buy the carton. I ocassionaly buy some real eggs and throw whole eggs in the pan, you know to get some fat from the yolk, but cartons are much more practical for me.

Hell i just figured out how to get the damn yolks out of the egg whites..MMM much better .. I dont feel so bad now ,eating some eggs
