gatorade post workout?

Sorry fellas but just found this website and it's really good. However I am not the most computer savy person and I cant seem to get the search function right when looking for past posts. Any tips?

In addition a quick question for anyone that can help me:

Is gatorade is a good source of dextrose for post workout? I am 210 lbs and have 45 grams of carbs from gatorade (mix my own), slice of white bread with honey, and a protein shake. Not sure if I should drop the bread and honey?

I apologize if this was previously posted, cant seem to navigate too well.

If gatorade is all that you have onhand sure..You could just eat 4 slices of white bread to spike your insulin.. Keep the bread & honey.. drop the gatorade.. but keep the shake also..

hell why not name a thread after the most popular old timer on the dungeon? he answers everyones questions, concerns, and offers plenty of advice free of charge. heck i just might do that today. i think i'll title it thanks chrispghmuscle for being a know-it-all, ehehehehe

no problem.. any simple carb will do to spike your insulin.. you a pretty big guy anyway.. so have at it.. mix and match, see how it works

In all realness I remember a trainer at one of the outskirt gyms saying Gatorade cut with water 50/50 was about the perfect replenishment drink for quick sports and physical activity. This in conjunction with a good base of protein and carbs should be suffice.

I think it all depends on your goals and what phase of training you are in
