    toasting your wheat bread...good or bad?

    does toasting the bread take away from all the nutrients and WHOLEness that whole wheat bread gives? cuz ive been toasting mine a lil bit and making chicken breast sandwiches.

    Wheat bread is bs. Go for whole grain or cut out entirely. Toasting won't effect nutrients though to answer your question.

    uhh yeah, toasting it depletes the nutrients out of it..the heat dehydrates the nutrients out of the cells

    The only thing that happens is the moisture evaporates.. it doesn't effect the nutrients.

    yea i agree with freak whole wheaat does suck make sure u use whole grain but i hate bread so i use either oatmeal, grits or brown rice since rice is easier to measure

    I'm going your route MM and I'm going to quit buying whole grain bread. I'm only gonna buy white bread for post wo glycogen replenishment. Not only does most whole grain bread have HFCS but its expensive as hell and spoils easily.

    Have you tried quinoa or bulgar. Both are awesome grains.

    yea bulgar is great but i like those three carbs they work for me

    If thats true, what happened to the nutrients when the bread was initially baked?
