I have been eating the same diet now for about 6 months. My aim is pretty much always to gain weight, as I am naturally thin. The Diet is roughly 2500 calories per day, I weigh 130 lbs, 5 “7. I recently check my BF and it is 13%.
I recently read a post saying when you get above 10% BF you should begin a cutting diet. My question is should I now do a cutting diet even though visually I don’t appear to have any excess fat and does the cutting phase of a diet benefit the bulking phase, ie carb depletion.
If I should cut any advice on how to would also be much appreciated.

13% is exactly when I tell people to cut.

Does the cutting phase of a diet assist the bulking phase in anyway?

Not really, it depends on what you mean. You bulk to gain fat, muscle, strength. You cut to lose fat, maintain muscle and strength.

Yes it does. Outside any disease - so for most of us - the leaner you are the more sensitive you will be to insulin.
