I have a morning class MonWedFri from 630-730. Which means I wake at 530 on those mornings, eat, shower and get ready. After 730 I sleep till 900 am, eat, sleep till 1200, eat at 1200 and then get ready for my 100 class.

My question is it bad for me to be eating carbs before I take long naps like this if I'm going to be inactive? On the other hand I think I need carbs because I will be active later in the day plus I workout in the evenings of those early-rise days.

If you are inactive i.e. sleeping i wouldn't eat massive amounts of carbs as they will be stored and partially burnt i think. I would possibly eat more carbs at 1200 ready for your training later on in the day.

Basically when you're in homeostasis (sleep) you're main fuel is fat. Even when you're sitting in class your main fuel tends to be fat. That's why we store it.

You can eat carbs whenever, just monitor your intake and you'll be fine.
