Since your 145lbs, i'd eat 290-300g protein per day. Carbs are up to you. As for fats, always have some natty pb in your diet, if your bulking, i'd eat 2 natty pb samitches per day. Also...RED MEAT once a day.

i can reach my protein macros easily but any suggestions on what to eat to bring up the fat and carbs ?

Zomb you go by 2g/lbm if I'm not mistaken. I go by 1g/lb of bodyweight. 2g per pound of bodyweight would be crazy and just be converted to glucose (if carbs were deficient) or fat (if carbs were sufficient) but either way its not gonna help anyone grow anymore.

As for the person who asked why not muscletech. It's too expensive.

Don't buy Muscletech is an opinion that I don't agree with. It's because people say that they over charge which they do a little, but it's worth the extra ten bucks IMO for the best.

0.8 grams of protein on a bulk is actually enough. To be safe round up to 1 gram 2 grams is just way too much it's not necessary 1.5 is good on a cut. 2 is ok but IMO not necessary either.

I had no idea that HFCS was in it. I never really looked at an ingredient list. Though the most I've learned about nutrition has been with my cut, so the lack of carbs = lack of knowledge on carbs.

Muscletech's alright, but I wouldn't spent that much money or hardly any more than I have to. I learned man food is the best you can get most stuff from supps in food. Supplements are just higher consentrations. Get some creatine mono whey protein and a multi vitamin and you're good. MuscleTech's good if you have extra money on hand but other than that...

muscletech is NOT better.
no offense Mike, i enjoy your posts, but you are not experienced enough and haven't been supplementing long enough to have even experimented with enough supplements to make that call.

ive done muscletech, and blown money, and got better, yes, BETTER results with cheaper supplements. More money poured into advertisement and a retail tag of 79.99 doesn't account for better quality or make them any more legit.

I am glad that they are funding a lot of athletes though, because it's so hard to make money in this support, but there are WAY too many products with the slightly better, equal, or slight worse, but MUCH cheaper products to blow the money on to pay for muscletech's 0973987938732 pgs in Muscle and Fitness and Flex magazine.

^ How long have you been lifting bro? Or I should say taking supps. Although it may be overkill I'd like to once again clearify my opinion. Think for yourself. I read MuscleTech's adds and the containers and everything else and while much is hype they do know hwat they're doing maybe more than other companies. They have more money and have the to spend on the largest research facility in the business. This allows them to make better supps. They don't pay though people for nothing.

And furthermore how much is a tub of ON whey protein 55 bucks at GNC how much is Nitro Tech 70 vucks at GNC if I'm not mistaken. 15 dollars more for a better product. Or how bout Cell Tech for an example, the best creatine product out there hands down. I'm 100% truthful when I say this, my arms were 13 inches last April before taking Cell-Tech and a month later they were 14, no joke.

So I think I do have a good amount of supplement experience, I have 10 empty tubs of supps behind me plus 11 pill containers of supps. That's enough for a good idea IMO.

Usually propietary blends are under 10,000 mg but yet contains 15~ ingredients or so.

Dude 15 ingredients equalling under 10,000 mg, that means most of those ingredients are dosed at 500 mg, and other than vitamins most ingredients need to be above 1g, also when there is so many ingredients like that it messes with your stomach.

Mike, as much as it might be their own unique blend of whatever supplement it its (be it protein/no/creatine/bcaa), it is as much a marketing scheme with many companies.

They say proprietary and the consumer usually thinks, "oh, well that must be a specially made formula and no one else has it." When in reality, in my estimation, there are two things they are doing...

1) They are calling it proprietary and changing up the ratios/ingredients of the supplement somewhat to distinguish it from another supp company

2) They might be calling it proprietary because the ingredients are crap and they aren't as good as other blends (for example the ratio between whey isolate and concentrate) and they want to hide it.

Some companies actually say proprietary and list after what the doses are, so you understand what it is composed of...however, many don't,

But if you remember the monos as: gfg and the di's as: msl then you can always put it together. Because glucose is always one piece of the disaccharide.

as for protein intake, i've done experiments. i gain muscle at around .85gperlbs. def. not quick gains as no lean muscle gains are quick.

on 2g perlbs, i gain the muscle at the same rate.

however, somebody on steroids should consume about 2g per lbs. it's different.

but for some reason, when i'm training natural, i still end up consuming about 1.5g per lbs of bodyweight for protein just because.
