Ok well I want to say that now that i'm on my bulk I do eat carbs like wholewheat bread but I read the nutritional labels on everything and I see there some fat in my bread, like 10 grams per slice. Is that a lot? Average?

I'll be making some brown rice today because I know that's a healthy complex carb but should I be concerned about the fat in my bread? I eat bread because I get more carbs then trying to carb up my meals with veggies. I have to eat a plate of broccoli and carrots to get up to the same as 1 slice of bread.

You should first calculate your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate), which you can just get an estimate of how many calories you burn in a day. Add approximately 1,000 calories a day to that to calculate for any gym time or other activities throughout the day. you should be eating 500 more calories per day than that total, given that you are NOT taking steroids. This gives you more slack for taking in fat, though if the fat is saturated, just buy another brand of whole wheat, 10 is a little high per slice.

It's called DoubleProtein bread, a WholeWheat variety.

ATM i'm out of it... i'll dig the bag out of the trash to show you the nutritional label. I'm not nuts on protein but i wanted to give it a try, something different, you know.

Man, if you are looking for extra protein in the diet, bread is the last place you need to try. If you can't eat your amount, make sure you have a good protein powder (I use ON, just like everyone else). you need a good whey shake after workouts, anyways. And I may change it Zacknight, but don't worry. P.S. Zacknight, why don't you receive my PMs anymore? after all we've been through?

Its probably loaded with soy, flax, wheat gluten, etc. and the extra fat is from the soy and flax.

Generally, a slice of whole grain bread will have about 17-20 grams of carbs, 2-4 grams of fiber, 1-3 grams of fat, and 3-5 grams of protein.

Learn to read the ingredients as well as the nutrition labels.

@Soulja
I said in my first post of the thread that I was just doing it for something different. Read my shit first then jump on board with some answers.

@BR
Ok so my bread is too fatty. I'll look for some low or near-none fat bread next time we're running low.

My main question, now that I've had some time to think about it I can more clearly state it:

So if my bread [currently] has fat in it, does that fat count towards my overall fat goal in terms of getting in good fat, or is this exteraneous fat?

I don't understand the question, can you phrase it in a way that doesn't require you knowing the type of fat from the label and how much of each type fat your getting in a day, so that its simple enough that you don't need to ask such a question?

Well for starters their is a difference between whole wheat and whole grain. Opt for whole grain, whole wheat is just a wannabe.

Yes the fat should count toward your overall fat intake. You want accurate numbers..

actually it was your second post, douchebag... why don't you read your own shit? On top of that, I don't know where I crossed the line to offend you in any of my posts, so if it's that time of the month, make sure you put that with an * at the bottom so people know not to respond to your postings. Sound like a deal?
