I am going to a cottage this coming saturday for a week, and am not sure if I will be able to get weight training in while I'm there. I'm investigating right now to try to find a gym I could go to in the area...but if not, what do you guys suggest I do? I am on a cut right now, so my strict diet will stay intact while I am on vacation, but I need to know what you guys think I should do about the training

Thanks

As long as you keep your diet on track, a few days off from training won't hurt you at all bud, everyone needs rest some time, if you feel you need to do exercise, do some body weight exercises. I personally would still do cardio while there though.

when was the last time you went a week off from the gym? if its been a while i would agree with the boys and just relax plus your lean right now so that helps. if you feel the need you can always do stuff around the area...Swimming would be great for you, push ups,sit ups, climb some trees.

Yeah I havent taken a week off in probably over 6 months...so im thinking Ill just stick with the diet, maybe do some crunches, pushups etc if I'm feeling like I need to, but other than that just spend the week fishing and getting some sun

If you're going to a cottage with your gf.. why workout. Spend the time with her.. ( that is if you are )..

If not then just relax.

You know I have noticed something.. Everyone feels they need to workout all the time. The "I don't want to waste a single moment when I could be training" and that's a great attitude to have.

But you have to remember, taking time off is so very valuable to your body it's almost essential for growth. I know it's hard to understand cause most are so focused on the goal of adding muscle.

But vacations are ment to be just that ' a vacation' time away from the weight room, take a deep breathe and enjoy your surroundings.

I can almost guarantee that when you come back, you will be re-charged and full of vigor and energy and ready for a new training routine and most of all probably be pushing more weigth than before you left.

That is called recovery and your body needed it.

It's your call. Enjoy

Chris
