How far enough have u ever reduced calories for the last weeks to get ready for a BBing contest ?

not low.
its more ratios
and manipulation
not much slow taper.

that's what i was thinking but wasn't sure

i've never competed

and then i thought, can you really have 2500 calories worth of just protein and fat?
that's a lot of extra fat.

EXACTLY.
the only shock dieting that i know of that seems to be effectively worth it, is the crazy carb up days on ketogenic diets.
