My mom is trying to lose 25 lbs. she is going to a weight loss doctor but what he is telling her to eat doesent seem like nearly enough. she eats a replacement bar for breakfast and lunch with a small snack in between, and a normal dinner. but she is eating less than 1000 calories a day. im not sure if that is enough? her exercise is walking daily.

If that is not enough calories how much should she eat and is walking for 30-1hr a day enough?

less than a 1000 calories is not much at all, she should be taking in atleast 1400, but it also depends on her weight, so if you could provide that we could get her a better plan. and yes 30-60 min is fine as long as it isnt like a HIIT

237g-284.5g-Protein
158g-316g-Carbs(stay toward lower side)
31.6g-47.5g-Fats
reach those while eating 6-8 meals and she should be good with that and her cardio

thats not too much for her to eat? how would her body burn the fat with low intenstiy cardio?

when cutting you need more protein:
1.5-1.8g per lb

But if she eats .5 a kilo of food a day without intense exercise, how would she lose the weight?

just have her eat around 1500 cals a day and do her normal cardio. the body normally needs to have 1500cals a day to survive so she should be good eating that but make sure its clean food.

ok if you don't wanna go with that, than go with this approach:
1.Calculate BMR
2.Calculate Acitivity Level/Caloric Needs
3.Keep track of amount of calories eating, burn 3500 excess calories=1lb lost
