I'm about to begin my carb up at the end of week 3. I weighed in this morning 2 pounds heavier. I am in ketosis, and I felt fine all week.

My exercise routine included 3 days off (parents visiting).

Monday - full body
Wed - HIIT, arms (3 sets of 1 exercise per bi/tri...I was exhausted after the HIIT)


I did NOT work out Sunday (last day of carb up). Is that proper or should I have hit the gym.
Also, I did not drink much water this week.
I'm 276lbs, 5' 9", dropped 176 pounds doing strictly a low cal / light exercise diet.

This weeks macros are as follows:

Mon 1730 109 166 19
Tue 2728 185 227 21

I'm not too too pissed off as I can feel myself gaining strength, my smallest pair of shorts are fitting just a little bit better than they did 2 weeks ago, but still, my obsession with seeing that scale move is gonna haunt me until next weeks weigh in.

Comments, criticisms , advice....good or bad, I'd love to hear it all.

it happens... i dont think you could of gained much fat at all. You might want to go by mirror appearance as a progress tool, especially if you just started to get into lifting weights. There are many variables that could of taken place here, so just watch the calories next week, try to keep things consistant, and you should be fine. Now go ahead and carb up remember to keep fat low on refeed days.

It's normal to gain weight back on a carb load, glycogen holds onto water, so its to be expected.

im also trying the cdk diet...ive been on it for 2 1/2 weeks now and i started at 169 and im now at 167, but my wieght varies by day. Just b/c your not losing any weight doesnt mean your not losing any fat. I imagine your BF% has gone down. the cdk diet is built to lose fat while keeping your muscle. so dont go by weight, go by jeans or other such things. if your really sticking to that then you should see results. my BF has dropped to 9% from 13% in 2 1/2 weeks so im very happy with my results. Also if your into Supplements i have a cheap and very good one for you. ECA look it up its very worth it, been on it the entire time as diet and its helping greatly

if you mean the ECA stack, I don't know that the legality of ephedrine would allow for it.

depending on what he's doing, if he's competing, then i wouldn't suggest using ephedrine, but if he's just trying to cut down...by all means if it's what he wants and he's mature and old enough to handle it, then go for it in my opinion

sulfate or HCL is the most common used in ECA stacks?
