well, i've talked to Bob Chicorello from bodybuilding.com. for those of you who do not know him, he's the host of the website and has done COUNTLESS interviews with different bodybuilders. he too is a professional bodybuilder.
well, i asked him about this personally and he said that EVERY bodybuilder he's seen doing HIIT or balls to the wall cardio for a show, comes in lookin' a little flat. people have told him that bodybuilders actually looked good doing HIIT and he agreed but he also said that that same bodybuilder looked fuller when he was doing slow cardio.
he says this is how a bodybuilder holds on to their size or at least one way.
honestly, y'all say not to look at the pro bodybuilders because they are different blessed with elite genetics and are on massive amounts of drugs, but i disagree. even so, these guys have been though it many times and know exactly what to do. i've found that many of the pricipals that work for the pros work for me as well.
if you see their training videos, you don't see very many bodybuilders doing high intensity cardio. it's all slow paced stuff. |
