I know instant oats like quaker or whatever arent as good for you as normal oats but I was just wondering if the nutritional values stay the same if I eat these oats uncooked (unmicrowaved). cause what I'm planning on doing is adding them to my eggs in the morning and just wanted to know if I will still get the nutrition from the oats if I do so. Thanks

yeh you are right there are the oats that take a couple of hours to cook (machined oats i think)
but i doubt oats that are put in the microwave for a minute and thirty seconds are much worse then 2 hour oats.
i just buy organic oats and microwave them.

so u can do it, but prolly won't get the full nutritional value like if u used steel cut.

It's up to you dude. One also may be pricier than the other so let's see what happens
