Throughout the day, I feel week, sometimes it's hard to get "fired up" for the gym. I'm wondering if my diet could have anything to do with it?? It feels like my blood sugar is low, but I eat clean every 2.5-3 hours [w/ exception of night ofcourse].

have you checked your blood for sugar?

I know that during cut you get that feeling. I'm no expert in dieting but what are you eating ? are u using some multivitamins?

sometimes i feel lethargic and dont want to go to the gym. what ive started doing is taking a half hour - hour nap before i get my pre w/o meal. that way i feel energized once i fully wake up. if it is your diet id check your carbs.

like zack says
25% breakfast
20% pre w/o
25% post
30% throughout the rest of the day

pretty much it's gonna be from not sleeping and recovering.

Lately i've been getting 4 hours a night and have been really really tired.

I know what you mean.

carbs, carbs and carbs. also try to eat lots of fruits and vegetables. sleep plays a big role as everyone knows. i get 7 hrs of sleep at night, and 1.5 hrs during the day b4 gym.

if you're cutting, this is normal. since your carbohydrate intake might be lower than usual.

that's why i like to have some animal pump before a workout. something with caffeen in it and NO2 and creatine. and make sure you get some complex carbohydrates before a workout as well.

make sure you get enough sleep. especially since you're cutting. you need all the rest you can get.
that shit ain't easy.

also, make sure that you're getting at least 1.8g of protein per lbs of bodyweight so you don't loose muscle.

Only thing I'd have to go on about from what kenny said is that you don't need "at least" 1.8g of protein per lb of bodyweight. you need AT MOST 1.8g of protein per lb of bodyweight because it could definitely cause kidney issues and other health problems.

Everybody is diff and you may have diff needs, but just be careful man.

Not calling you out on anything Kenny, just giving the guy the other side to what that would be.

just sayin, he needs lots of protein. you loose muscle EASY when your calories are that low

Good article.

Excess aminos will just broken down into fatty acids or glucose then used as fuel or stored as fats.

Not to mention, carbs play a significant role in the monitoring of insulin, an anabolic hormone. Carb consumption also has impacts upon leptin, thyroid production, and satiety hormones. So replacing carbohydrate calories with excess protein calories is not a wise decision.
