I mentioned in another thread I have started getting ready for the May 31st local show and have enlisted the help of a local Pro he has me on a totally different diet than Im use to but to see him and all the others he has helped Im going to give it a shot.
To start off the next couple of weeks this is my diet
meal 1- 2 cups egg beaters (about 10 egg whites) + 1 CUP OATMEAL
meal 2- 7oz chicken breast+1 sweet potatoe with skin+ 1 cup green veggies
meal 3-2 scoop protein+ 1 cup oatmeal
meal 4-same as meal 2
meal 5-8 oz fish+2 cups green veggies
meal 6-same as meal 5

I can substitute a protein shake in meal 5 if i want to but not in meal 6.That way I have a shake after my w/o.
His way of thinking is youre not really growing while on a cutting diet so its more important to keep amino acids feeding the body all day than to worry about the precise timing of your protein.
He also has me taking 2 multivitamins a day
Evening primrose oil twice a day
Fish oil pills 3 x a day
Roughly this equals out to 280 gramns protein
180 grams carbs
It will be switching up in a couple weeks to add some fat.
Its definitely diffrent but I really have faith in him.
He doesnt want me doing but 40 mins of cardio at 3.2 mph on a treadmill at a incline of 8.
He also doesnt like to get too complicated with things he says it frustrates people and they give up.he also said if he finds out that I dont listen to him 100% he will refuse to train me(and this is a friend lol)
Doesnt make sense to listen to 3 different people they could contradict what the other is trying to do.
Its pretty unorthodox so I know there will be lots of negative thoughts on this so let me know what you guys think.I wanted to try to enlist some help this time around because i felt like I was having a little trouble

Would be helpful to know what you daily metabolic expenditure is before really critiquing.

Theres only a few things I'm not sure about.

1. The evening primrose oil. If all you eat for carbs are oatmeal and sweet potatoes, then I suppose its fine. But if you eat a more diverse selection of grains (which I feel you should for health benefits), then there will be no need to supplement with an omega-6 fatty acid.

2. The limitation of food. Which, I assume he will be giving you more options in terms of protein and carbohydrate sources, so that you don't go insane.

Lastly, will you be incorporating refeed/overfeeding days into this diet plan? This is important in the manipulation of leptin and other hunger/satiety/metabolic hormones.

The evening primrose oil he said I wont need the whole time but for now yes and Im assuming its because sweet potatoes and oatmeal are my only scource of carbs for now.Along with the broccoli he said he wants to keep my diet very fibrous(sp)
The limitations set are probably my own doings I am a very picky eater. As far as protein I could do turkey sometimes instead of chicken but really not much change.Broccoli and corn and lettuce.Romaine that is
and yes the feeding and refeeding days will come but not during the first 2 weeks

He's a pro as you said, so this has probably worked for him in the past.

As long as you get your carbs, fats and protein, I personally wouldn't worry too much.

A change of foods, timings, etc can help your system, keep it guessing but still getting the nutrients you need. I say it's a great thing to experiment with, maybe it'll be your new formula for greater success, who knows.

I know you'll prevail Kaboom.

hey kaboom, what's your diet now?

make sure you're not making huge changes just like that. work your way down to 180g of carbs if you're taking in say 500g right now. don't just go from 500g right down to 180g in one day. i'm sure you know this already though. just in case you forgot.

just wanna say, how does this guy know what's gonna work for you? is he you? i don't think so. he may know what he's talking about but remember, everybody is different.

pasta is too starchy man. i didn't cut well when i was eating pasta. trust me. it's very carb dense too. the carbs/calories add up too quick.

not sure about the pasta he's talking about though.
