it'sadilema. a important part of a portorican is that we always eat everything with rice white rice any type of rice otherwise you are not eating so now my diets are without rice most of the time i break them because of custom and man i lovre rice what can i do?

brown rice at most meals is fine, although it would be good to change just for variety as it may get boring. The only time you want white rice is after a workout as its a simple carb

that is what i'm telling that we are customed to eat it everytime even by itself. Is one of the cheapest and enduring that you know you can buy it and keep it safe and won't rot.So we buy it a lot. so it's been real hard to me to leave it but what i've been doing is eating it before and after the w/o . I know i shoud eat complex carbs before but that is all we have for now or pasta.

If that's all you have then go for it man.

Carbs are carbs, just some are better at times than others.

but if that's what u've got and it's cultural, then I see no problem with continuing the tradition

Exactly. Just because it is part of your culture doesnt mean you have to strictly adhere to it.

Life is about making your own choices for your own life.


Brown rice is much better. Whole wheat pasta is much better.

White rice throughout the day isnt the best idea out there. Also, nix high carb amounts later in the day, especially white rice. And dont mix high carb amounts with fats.

Brown rice is much more nutritious for you anyways.
