I am a very addictive person ranging from everything from drugs to alchohal to cigerettes to food.... Over the years I have dropped them one by one. First drugs in 1990 then alcohal 2000 cigerettes 2001 coca cola 2007 and now the one last bad habit I want to get rid of is food cravings. And not just any food JUNK food. If I try and cold turkey the chips and chocolate I actually have nervous convultions the same as when I cold turkey the smokes.

Is there any suggestions? I have even tried to eat fruit when I crave chips but does not help.

try switching over to hte baked, unsalted ones first. A little bit of homemade dip with tomatoes and garlic probably wouldnt hurt either. Once u get to that point you can start slowly substituting with other foods. What are your physique goals?

Great job.. Giving up drugs awesome. Booze well done..

Soda= not shabby at all.. Chips=I have to draw the line.. In moderation there not bad.. But if you have cravings like " give me some or someone dies " attitude,, well then good.

Calling it and Additive Personalitly,, well I would constitute it as an Additive Habit. But call it what you will..

NICE JOB BRO

Chris

Make sure you're getting your daily vitamins. A multi rich in vitamins, minerals and other things should do the trick. There's been links shown between cravings and vitamin/mineral deficiencies. Though, it sounds like you've been fighting this for a really long time... still, make sure you're getting your vitamins.

same story over here man, what i did to get my perfect diet is to do it step by step, when u get the chip cravings try to limit ur intake less and less each time that should help. I had such a sweet tooth before but i kept cutting my intake overtime and now if i eat more then 3 jube jubes i feel like im going to puke. also the best way to get rid of a habit is to replace it which u said u tried and didnt work, perhaps try to subsitute chips for something with a similar texture. keep at it and ull eventually not even like them. good luck peace
