ive never heard of lucozade, i guess we dont have that in the states?? but i drink a sugar free red bull almost every day. the only problem i can see with them would be the high amounts of caffeine and and sugar. so drink a sugar free one. and i also wouldnt drink the whole thing in one sitting, i sip on one red bull through out one day

with any energy drinks you're going to get a butt load of caffeine which imensly increase your stress levels, imo dont take them, they are made to make money of the general public and arent targeted towards bodybuilders. imo they are bad

i agree, thats why i only drink maybe half before i work out, but if you look at any pre-workout supplement it is stacked with caffeine and other stimulants so its not like its going to hurt you. drink them if you want bobo but def. i would recommend the SUGAR-FREE!

Mate not sure if they have stuff in them that make you become addictive but i think the body gets used to relying on the 'quick boost' the energy drinks give you and after a little while your body wont function unless you have one.

I worked with a guy, and he would have 4 cans a night. Mind you we work as cops doing 12 hr night shifts. Not that its an excuse. I dont know how he did it but you could see his behaviour change over the 12 hrs. Not good, anyway he no longers drinks the stuff and tries to stop others from drinking them aswell

Honestly the best thing to wake yourself up is black coffee. i add water to it to cool it down and sometimes if im out of animal pump ill sip on it while i workout. stay away from all that energy boosting crap. you can spend more money on protein power which i more important than that crap. I have read studies where the stuff does help but IMO stay away from the energy drinks. just addicting and give you the jitters

^ i tried a bottle of endo rush once the shit was like crack... i soon after found out theres 4 servings per bottle.... :-/
I agree with mostmuscular, preworkout stims or energy drinks tend to be a waste of money. I generally opt for coffee and unsweetened cocoa powder with a little splenda... gives me a nice clean mental focus.
