After doing some searching and re reading some post I have come to find one thing, I am confused.

What should I be eating for a meal pre and post workout. I am working on getting down my bf and tone so I am looking to stay in the NON bulking end of it.

Thanks gang,

Poppa

Pre workout = Whey shake with creatine, glutemine and a bcaa, complex carb. like sweet potato or oatmeal about 45 minutes before your workout

Post workout = Whey shake with creatine, glutemine and a bcaa, simple carb = white rice, plain rice cake or white bread.

the shake before hand should be about 20 to 30g

the shake after should be about 40 to 50g

you need the first to get into an anabolic state.
you need the latter to get the uptake of protein synthesis and repairing the micro-tears made in the muscle

Not to back peddle, but I gotta say that Mr Z Knight is also always there to help, give good solid info and do so in a timely fashion.

Between the PM's and a few post here and there the both of you have helped a shit ton for me to get to where I am today. Kaboom has been helping a ton as well as a few other's scattered round the board. This is why I come here, the quality of people is only outmatched by the quanity of people. I rarely see any flaming going on and it only comes about when someone comes on with something to prove or just to stir up trouble.

1000 Thumbs up for The Dungeon and it's followers.

Complex carbs pre workout, for prolonged energy during your workout with a sufficient amount of protein. Simple carbs post workout to transport nutrients, along with fast digesting protein.
