the other day i was watching a ronnie coleman video adn they show him eatign grits and eggs whites is that a good meal to eat before going to the gym?

not entirely, but it's not terrible as a wake up meal if you take a multi-vitamin with it and monitor your quantities

yeah i thought so just i bought some quick grits and egg whites but mainly my concern is are egg whites better for you than an actual egg i know that thats where all the protein is but is there more sodium as well?

eggwhites are better for you than eggs. much better
the problem is that grits are made from enriched white homony.

i've always been told not to eat anything that's enriched if i was in contest prep mode.

not sure why.

this is not true at all the yolk actually has added protein and some good fats that you need. that is why i use a few egg yolks in my egg whites. therefore you get everything you need.
