Was watching on tv this english guy wich he say that you can eat anything by following four rules

Eat everything you like , eat when you are hungry
eat ridiculously slow chew more than 20 times
eat with no distraction
stop when you think you are full

And that should make it. Is quite interesting this guy I know he has a book. and I know that some artist like madonna use this method.

Is it eat everything a good advice? opinions

i do think that is irrresponsible cause. Even if I chew a fried chicken will be the same chicken though It's true that you will get full faster

He's a hack. Don't listen. If you wanted to you could get fat off of fruit. If he's counting on people getting on bored from eating slow, then that may work. But for bodybuilding, just go with the tried and tested stuff.

Interesting Concept he brings to the table, but eating whatever you want might be a bit overboard

i know there a thing on chewing your food to make sure its covered in your saliva so it breaks down easier in your stomach soyou body dosnt have to work as hard and goes slower in to your system and keeps your insulin from spiking.. something along those lines. never herard of this guy tho sounds like a crock. isnt it so funny how people think eating fruit and drinking fruit juice is so good for you.

if your healthy and active it is. and eating a whole fruit is good for you as along as you match it with protein and other things. or as a snack. but drinking fruit juice with all the fiber taking out and eating a big fruit salad for breakfast. isnt so healthy every day. i know its simple sugar but thats still alot of sugar. wow i feel like a real hypocrite as im about to fast for three days on nothing but vegtable juice and some fruits juice ahhh lol ****.

liver and system detox, havent read about ketois much until i just heard about it here and i think juicing and this might have a connection. havent been able to find the detailed info on juicing on the net that i have in books from my library and there closed for a strike right now. going to get into the science of juicing a bit more ill post up info wheni get it together. i know alot of people read a small bit into it and usally goes against everything theyve read so go antijuicing but im hoping to change some minds. its not like drinking apple and pinapple juices my main ones are carrot, kale, redpepper, cucmber, parsley, beet, celery, dandylion greens, spinich, garlic, lemon, pinapple, ginger, sprouted grains like sunflower, i just am borrowing a really good juicer that also does seeds so cant wait to incorporate those.

Today I looked for some info and didn't find an medical explination nor pshycological one so I decided to try it.

It does work for me and I think that a fat person could do it. But it doesn't help a bodybuilder because it will affect you in your intake and that is what youare not looking for. But it helps to eat less! it's impresive how full i was and i had half of the chicken breast left. Maybe I was already bored of eating, I did had to drink a lot of water cause al that chewing made me fill thirsty maybe that is the reason to the sensation of fullnes. Anyway if someone find something interesting about it whant to see more of these.

My opinion on fasting for detox has always been that the body is going to filter out as much as it can possibly regardless of what you eat. What specifically are you trying to clean out of your system?

Ketosis is usually marketed as a break through diet, even went through the fad diet phase. But its really just basic human reaction to low avaiability of glucose to the brain. On ketosis you cannot eat whatever you want during the day as long as there are no carbs, you'll get fat.

I think this guy's a hack, too... if i could eat whatever i wanted, i'd be eating pancakes and ice cream and other crap. And i wouldn't get tired, i'd be eating all day. The most important thing in a diet is what you eat, not how you eat it. Chewing my favorite cheat foods 20 times over is not going to make them any less artery-clogging or fattening. Not to mention the general lack of nutrients from poor food choices. It sounds like just another thing celebrities are doing to starve their muscles away.

great point frag, when it comes to loosing weight two points need to be stressed, quality and quantity.
This is saying that no matter what you eat it will be alrite and weight loss will occur, but this diet is "trying" to get you to eat less, so basically you are consuming a fewer amount of calories, but unhealthy ones, im not disagreeing with it because i have never tried it but i would be amazed if it came out successful

i think ketois and detoxing are just to give your liver a break and help it flush out any fatty depoits that are stuck there. mainly just to get it a break for a few days. and to get rid of toxins from envirtometal factor llike pesticides and breathing smog. toxians from plastics. that sorta thing. your supposted to use oranic vegtables. the us has a bad organic code. ill tel ya later really trying to get to the gym right now. and meat. ive heard at anytime a meat eater will have 2 lbs of meat in there intestines at any givin time. ive dont it before an have never felt so good. my skin looked way healther i felt way better my system seemed to work well after. only problem was not so much stamina in the gym very little. well see how it goes and i may supp protein shakes in there i dunno yet.

i agree with both arguments here. i think his theory works to a certain extent, but i think the 'eat what you want' statement is misunderstood, i doubt he literally meant eat whatever the hell you like. the point mentioned above about eating things slower does allow more saliva to break down the food and aid digestion. ive also heard that it encourages you to believe that you are eating more (unconsciously of course).
but then again i dont have a PhD in Nutrition lol

all i've seen is only one program I think is been only one. but maybe hell start saying est anything then start putting some controls. But that would discourage anybody who would be dieting first tells you eat everything the eat this or this not this is unhealthy.

Thats correct actually. My Psycology teacher was talking about nutrition and over eating habbits, he said that people that are usually obese are those that eat the quickest, it takes longer for your brain to get the full response going so you wind up eating more. Guess like competitive eating in a way.

that type of advice might work for the 'average' overweight person who needs to lose weight. when you are at 35-40+% BF just dropping the soda will make you lose weight... it's not rocket science when your honestly fat and taking in 5,000+ calories a day.

^^^ yes please enlighten us

I was just about to unsubscribe to this thread when I read about how a 19yr old kid knows everything there is to know about nutrition after reading 1 book.

***Edit***

I read this earlier today on AM.com - blood test results on a guy whose been on the AD for about 13 weeks JUST coming off a cycle. I'd say this is pretty impressive?

How does this look?

I just don't like any celebrity fad diet that starts with the words "you can eat whatever you want..." because the oprah zombies will just take that to mean that eating a dozen donuts a day is still healthy eating, and that would just be counter-productive.

Chewing and eating slowly might work for average, healthy people with normal apetites, but i don't think it would work for people who are obese, as they have developed a very different apetite and eating habits from normal people over time.

I don't think there is any secret to losing weight. Eat less than maintenance calories, primarily from whole (nutritious) foods and you are set.

IMO, other than those w/ REAL metabolic disorders (diabetes, etc.), overeating is a psychological issue.

I agree w/ the chewing slowly thing, though not as a means for weight loss.

I just had to copy the period between words thing :P

But ketosis isn't a fad diet, it's a human biological response to absence of adequate sources of glycogen to the brain. For someone who was cycling and coming off of a keto diet those numbers are great.

How does this look?
dude i hope you was joking about the "19yr old kid knows everything..." comment

I was mocking him for calling out a PROVEN and safe diet with absolutely no proof or studies to back up his claim. I apologize if you didnt catch my sarcasm but it was there.
