Well, i have all the food items i plan on using in the next week, and i have written down all their important nutrition facts (carbs, calories, protein, fat), and some other things like sugar content and fiber content, but how do i set up a spreadsheet or something like that to quickly calculate? That way i can just insert in how much i ate of said item, and it will calculate.

Just smack me in the face if its really easy. I havent worked with spread sheets in quite a while.

Well, im slowly working it out. Im sure once i get everything down packed on my formulations, i can probably give out the format i used and you can just clear out and punch in your own nutrition facts for your foods and when you used them. Should be great. Im going to have it calculate the percentage and everything for all nutrition facts and macros.

This might take a week though, as i havent used Excel in a long while and i just hit a snag in how to make it read all the nutrition facts for a single meal item in a certain portion size.

Good luck to me. Yay.

Google Documents has a simple spreadsheet if you don't want to use Excel. You can also use a program like FitDay.

Here's Google Docs/Spread sheet: Welcome to Google Spreadsheets

I'm pretty sure you need a G-mail account in order to activate this, if you don't I'll invite you to G-mail (only way to get an account) then you can do it..

Good luck.

Dude use DietAnalysisPlus. It's sooo fucking amazing. I use it for my nutrition course, you have like 200,000 foods already in there and you can like add in foods and create them into the program like your supplements to get all kinds of info on your diet. It's the best thing I've ever used.

Ill take a equal look at all the suggested sites. Thanks for the responses guys. I really like what i have set up right now though. I have all my meal items listed and i just enter in how much of it i ate according to serving size, and it gives me my calories, fat, carbs, sugar, protein, and fiber.

Then, i just plug it into another spread sheet as a food item for a given meal (ie, breakfast has 4 food items) and at the end of the day, i will have everything there all calculated out.

Thanks for all the help guys and gal.

Zack..

I looked into that program, and you have to pay for it! Is this true? I might be doing something wrong? The site looks extremely professional so I've very interested in the use of it. It says you need a "Product Code" in order to purchase one..

I didn't realize you had to pay for it man, sorry.

I use it for my nutrition class and it came with my nutrition book when I bought it. I talked to my teacher and she said it's not that much though, but I'm sure there's a possibility that you could find a free one online somewhere that's just as good. It's just a thought. I love it, but that's just me. It's up to you guys :)
