Just stick to something light like Rice cakes with a shake. Then an hr later pile in some more food, bring in the brown rice, chicken etc...

I bought some White Wonderbread, I figured it'd be the whitest kind of bread available. Just a question, just one slice would be good with the shake?

And it's probably minor, but does it matter the order of it, shake first then bread, or bread then the shake?

ahh now i figired out why most of the protein bars and shakes have such high carb. they are post shake/bars!? i buy them for lunch or between lunch and dinner shake. this must be why one has 43 g carb and the other has 3g. ive been purposly been picking the low carb one. ^so im geussing on how many peices of bread he should eat would be based on the the carb count of his shake? might be a high one and might not need the extra...? just trying to learn as i read here nobody give me shit lol

Well I took 1 pc of the bread and then my Whey and Creatine shake. When down fine, but 2 hours later I had a bit of diarrhea. I figured it was from the white bread, it was new to my diet, but my body will get used to it.

Thank you very much for all your guys' advice!

Yow, I don't wanna make a new thread so I'll just ask here. What's the maximum time you can wait after your work out to drink your protein shake?

Glycogen replenishment and protein synthesis occurs. If you wait too long, you can't replenish properly. Protein should be taken immediately after workout or hypertrophy may take longer, I do believe. So strive for immediate consumption or 30 minutes tops.

is it worth taking whey protein at any other time except for right after/before the workout? i dont buy any other type of protein, and dont plan on it ($), so it ok if i take whey with milk before sleep or w/e?

Milk has lots of sugar. Unless you get Hood's Calorie Countdown Fat Free Milk. That only has 3 grams of sugar.

Id suggest fat free cottage cheese pre-bed. Borden is my brand of choice in this.

Also, the other time i would take whey is first thing in the morning with some fast-digesting carbs. I personally dont take whey pre-workout, but i understand why some people do. I choose to go with a slow-digesting protein an hour or more out (a milk product usually) so i dont have to worry about protein throughout the workout.
