whats up dungeon brothers...i was wondering....what type os supplements or foods/drinks spike up your insulin levels??

baked potato
sugars

some of the best for spiking the insulin.
the best time for an insulin spike is after a workout. to get rid of the cortizol that is released.

three medium baked potatos are good for insulin spikes.

I used organic apple sauce today. It's got those simple sugars that you're looking for for that insulin spike after a workout with a great taste and texture. It'll help spike it right away, but then you're going to need a good meal after your workout after you get home.

white bread with some jelly and a choc protein shake goes well. You dont have to go overboard with carbs to bring the insulin spike.

Applesauce is fructose though. Don't really wanna use that for your primary source imo.

on the same line of questioning,would it be wise to use dextrose or anything like that for that matter to get the spike while you are on a contest diet?

Im not 100% on this, but id avoid dextrose as a main source of insulin spike if you are trying to cut down on muscle glycogen stores.

actually, if you look at the GI (glicemic index) chart, you will see that white rice and brown rice aren't really that far apart. white rice is not the best food for an insulin spike. it will create one though. just not as dramatic as a baked potato. maybe 3 medium baked potatos is a bit much but i love to pig out after a workout.
