Does anyone have a good high protein and low to moderate carb chili recipe. I searched the net and haven't came up with a whole lot. I'm eating 6-7 meals a day and trying to get between 40-50 grams of protein a meal and 25-35 grams of good carbs per meal. I want one with beans preferably if any one has one. By the way is this a good recipe or meal for a lean mass building diet???

chili is awsome for you as there is virtually no fat in it. use blackbeans to keep the carbs down. they have the best protein and carb count. i make a chili with say
1 big onion saute add..
1 red pepper
1 yellow pepper
1 pack veggie ground round or extra lean beef can use half ground pork too
2 sticks celery
1 can corn (opt)
1-2 yams
1 can black beans
seasoning can vary just 1 tbps chili powder or that and 1 tsp chilipote peppers, 1 1/2 tsp cumin, salt and pepper.
1 can big crushed tomatoes
1/2 can tomato paste plus 1 cup water mabey a bit more threw cooking
if you like it thick 3 tbsp masa flour.
cook stiring often on med-low heat for and hour or more i find is better.
i also like a big splosh of bbq sauce

If you ever want to add some spice, chipotles in adobo sauce, I found a can with 1 net carb per a serving and it doesn't take alot of pulverized chipotles in adobo to add some spice.

Sweet I will have to pick up the new M&F. I have cut down on how much red meat I eat and usually take care of protein with chicken breast, turkey breast, ground turkey, and white fish. I planned to use lean 93/7 ground turkey, how about kidney beans for your legumes in the chili???

they are the most classic to use in chili but has more carbs and less protein then black. both are good in chili same with chick peas (garbanzo) yes sorry i said 'chilipote peppers' but i ment the ones in the can but forgot to say so. they are smoked jalapenos you can buy the powder too which is good but exspensive.
