I was thinking the other day, we have all kinds of different protein powders available and different classifications for them, fast digesting, slow, and mixes. But what kind of digestion rate are we looking at for say, a chicken breast? What do we classify that as?

I would say it goes from fast, normal and slow. Whey being at the fast end of the spectrum, lean meat probably closer to the lower spectrum of normal, red meat towards closer to the higher (slower) end of normal because of the fat thats marbled in and casein which would be slow.

The whole food aspect is its a denser solid.. Whey is already processed.. Even if your chewing it, your body needs to process it differently than whey protein..

The better cuts of red meat (or at least what they say are the better cuts) have lines within the meat. If you look at them. That's a lot of the glycogen and fat that is stored within the muscle of that animal. That's why it's slower. But of course the creatine that is still in that meat makes it better for you in the long run. But yeah. It's a medium digesting protein like said above. Just figured you guys might want some nutrition info on the red meats haha.
