When you eat well and enjoy it with people then ur going to feel better.
Basically there's a nutrient issue here because you get a lot of your nutrients and other vitamins and minerals from food, but the other half is a comfort and happiness issue. |
However, not everyone is going to eat their 5-8 meals a day with another person, whole food or not. A part of the reason whole foods also give us that full feeling, even if we arent, is the fiber and fats. Fats specifically release a hormone in our body telling us we are full. So, if you have a fat in your shake, you will probably get that full feeling.
However, studies have shown that liquid diets lead to people eating more, because they dont stay as full as long as if they ate a whole meal. I dont remember if fats were involved in this study though. Id say it wasnt, or at least not to the point where it really made a difference.
