So I read once that green tea speeds up your metabolism. In addition to HITT and a proper diet, I've been drinking about half a liter of the stuff a day. I don't get any protein, carbs or sugar from it, so it's not hurting me, but is the stuff any good at all for cutting, or is it just another gimmick?

I've also heard great things about Ginger Tea.

I think you are probably one of the few on this board that was actually around to watch that show on prime time television.

...for the rest of us, its something we might catch on "Nick at Night" or some "Turner Classics" channel.

i was reading in a diet and nutrition magazine that green tea also burns 200 calories for every serving you take in. but you have to keep in mind that you cant just sit on the couch and drink it you have to walk around and be doing stuff. very good for you and i use it to cut down also.

I definitely have to take a leak more often, not too helpful, but it's not a huge deal. I think I might have a higher metabolism to a very small degree, when I pay very close attention to my diet I am very sensitive to my body changes and I think I feel a change for the better. In addition to the HIT post-workout, I think the green tea helps a lot. I could just be a placebo effect, but I don't think so.

I've started to take my tea with me to the gym and drink it during my workout, and when I run out, I mix it in with water from the bubbler. Should I cut out the tea during the workout and just do the water instead?

I was told that White tea has more ECGC and is better for you than green tea as a diet supplement.

Sounds wrong. If it were true i'd be drinking 1 gallon of the stuff a day to cut down as much body fat as I could in a week.
