alright here is a question, might be a dumb one but here it goes. i have been on a cutting diet for bout 4wks. it is going well actually too well at first in the first 2wks i dropped 13lbs off( i know that was too much 2 fast and probably lost some lm) i readjusted the 3rd week and put on a lb. last week i readjusted again and took that lb back off. i wo 5-6 times a week 45min wieght training(3sets x 10-15reps) rest 60 sec between sets and 90 sec between exercises. then 30-45 cardio 20min-treadmill interval hi/lo (6mph) then stationary bike 16-19mph moderate level 15min-20min. my diet is 40/40/20 2900cal dont usually hit my 40%carb(lower than 40%) but i do hit the 40% protein and 20%fat. ok my question is when calculating my calories if i take in 2900 and i WO that day and burn say 500-800cals does that make my daily caloric intake too low? at 2900 i am already a good 500 cal deficient so take off 500-800 more cals and now i am too low? do i compensate on the days i WO? like i said im lookin way better than i have ever, and i feel good i just know that there is only so many cals i can lose in a week (1-1.5lbs) without losing muscle. sorry if this long winded for a dumb question im trying to be specific and give ya'll all the info that you might need to help me.
If you keep the weight loss at 1-1.5 a week then you are on the right track. If you notice you are losing more then up your calories by 250 or so until you are right where you need to be
