How much protein can your body grasp up after workout?
If I try going with fast gain which of 100g is 67g carbs and 20 g proteins, I will need about 100 grams fast gain plus the food I eat half an hour after which is about 40g of protein and a lot of carbs. (My weight is 172 lb)

Where do you come up with this number?

I think one, we mistake absorption with the uptake of amino's by our muscles. If our bodies could only absorb a finite amount of food, we would have explosive diarrhea all day long.

The muscle cells can only uptake a certain amount of amino's, the excess is converted by the liver into glucose or acetyl-co a which is either burnt like fat or stored as fat.

The amount your muscles can uptake per meal depends a lot on meal frequency, insulin levels, body size, and previous blood amino acid levels.
