Hey guys, currently I am sitting at 180 pounds but want to bump it up to 200. Meaning I need a dead minimum of around 200pro/200carb per pound of bodyweight. Problem is I cant get past around 150 each a day, I just can't seem to fit in any more meals? Any suggestions on how I can bump up my intake other than the obvious step of protein shakes?

First off, try and get around 2-3g of carbs/lb of bodyweight.

Agree with Jake, include everything about you're diet as of now.

7am:After waking: 1 whole apple, banana, orange, peach n some grapes

8.30am:Before work: 3-4 eggs and 3-4 bits of bacon

11am: Break: 2 tins of tuna

1pm: Lunch: Salad sandwich w/ham, chicken and pasta

3pm: A snack of some kind

5pm: After work: What ever I can find

7pm: Tea: Some form of red meat and half kilo of veggies

8pm: Gym

9pm: Post workout cereal

Don't know exact figures, works out to around 150-160 of both protein and carbs. Reckon if I play around with the meal sizes rather than with how many there are I can make it, thanks anyway guys :)

First off, Eat protein with each and every meal during your day. If you are trying to gain, straight carb meals are not going to do it for you.

Make sure you take in an ample amount upon waking and PWO, those are the two most cruicial times to take in what your body needs.

Whey protein is also a great thing to add to your diet. You can gain without whey protein though. If I were you, I'd add a protein shake to my "wake up" meal, because you have no protein. I would also do a shake PWO, and if you are really serious I would also get a casein protein mix to take before bed time. Casein is just a slow digesting milk protein.

The Good Stuff:
-Multi
-Omega mix (3,6,9)
-BCAA (powder or pills)
-Whey Protein

Also, if you've had a long day at work you could look into a pre workout drink. Something with a little caffeine and some B vitamins to give you a little bump start.

But in general, just eat eat eat and the weight will come.

Best Wishes,
TheWall

I eat a more high protein/high fat diet. Found that fat works better for me than carbs do. But I still get ample amounts of carbs.

Some diets work different for different people and body types.
