It's supposed to be sweet, but slower digesting than sugar. The real name for it is isomaltulose.

Fiber is indestible. Thats one of the reason net carbs are counted as the total carbs minus the fiber from the product.

its just because its supposedly a complex carb but its made from sucrose from honey and sugar cane. And its Europeans biggest sugar company who produce it so i didn't really get how it could be complex but ill just stick to oats anyway.

Wicked discussion guys. Everyone seems to have a different stand on carbs when your talking about them with other sporting people its good to understand them properly. The last football (soccer) team I played for would say have a few jelly babies after a game but for me I just dont do it.

cheers julio

breez thats because the carbs needed when change with each sport. For bodybuilding they don't really need simple carbs where as footballers do because it gives you energy before and after a game and it replaces your glycogen stores which is important for footballers but not bbd'ers. I got told to do this aswell and only did it because it was an excuse for my mum to buy me sweets and me to eat them lol
