now we all know that 50g of protein is the most you should have in a meal, so what is the most carbs your body can handle in a meal ? just wanted to know because my meals can have 200+ and was wanting to know if this was too much

^^ large amounts of protein might be digestible and absorbed, but it wont all be utilized for building muscle mass (the main idea behind supplementing with protein), it will goto other functions in the body, and even stored for energy- i.e. could be stored as fat.

There is not a set number for grams of protein that can be digested in one meal or at one sitting. 50g is a ok benchmark I guess but I wouldn't go over it.

4 meals is too few per day.

Split your carb intake up during the day by including more meals.

when i was cuttin, id limit myself to 100g of carbs per day... id split that into 25 g of simple carbs in the morning w/ bfast, then 25g of simple carbs post workout. the other 50 would be complex eaten at lunch and dinner (25 respectively for each)... my other 2 meals would be protein, fiber and healthy fats (almonds)

the main point for carbs would be for quick energy for use by your muscles. if you're extremely active then more carbs would be better to help replenish your glycogen stores.

1. When it comes down to it, you eat as many carbs as your diet allows for and nothing more.

2. With carbs there is a minimum that you should technically keep at and this is around 100 carbs in order to keep the body out of ketosis. If you are constantly bobbing in and out of ketosis your body will use protein for glycogen for the brain.

3. The body can handle X amount of fat/carbs/protein in a meal at the limit of what your stomach can contain. Anything not used for body functions will be turned into fat.
