Hello,

Just out of curiousity...
At around what time did bodybuilders start using supplements? (protein)
Does anyone know what their diets were like (website link or something?) before this time?

Thankyou

Creatine phosphate was discovered in the 1920-30s. It didn't come into public play until around 1992.
  • Creatine Ethyl Ester: 2004

No clue about protein and others. Can't find anything.

I think Prohormones were talked about mid 20th Century.

Weird, not much is on the internet about this stuff...

1930s, Eugene Schiff made the process to seperate the whey protein and sold it, but the market hit larger during the 1950s about and up. Around 1980s we see the rise of whey protein being sold for supplementation purposes specifically.
