I searched the forum for this topic, but I couldn't find anything, sorry if I'm being moot.

What kinds of carbs are good for breakfast if you work out in the afternoon/evening? Simple? Complex? A whole Grain bagel with peanut butter or cereal with honey? or both?!

I'm trying to increase my morning carbs and decrease carbs in my other meals, not looking for the added insulin either.

Thanks!

complex carbs are the best, simple carbs are for post w/o only. i have oats in the morning. not the quick oats, those are bad, natural or organic oats are the best.

oatmeal bro oatmeal.Complex carbs are good for the morning.Good for energy, feel you and are slow digesting.
No need for simple carbs in the morning unless you just want them and can handle the extra carbs ie:skinny!

Aren't simple carbohydrates important to have in your morning meal or 1st meal.
I'm pretty sure it's because you want to get in your nutrients as fast as possible since you just got out of an 8 hour fast. Complex carbs would just take even longer.
I'm not too sure on this topic, so don't get mad at me or anything. If I'm wrong, just correct me, and I'll thank you.

The quick oat and regular oats have the same nutritional value. I eat quick oats for the time convience of them.. Have for years.. Why are they bad?

Oats are def a good call in the morning. When I get sick of oats, I eat Kashi Waffels. They aren't made with high fructose corn syrup and all that other junk, while they are a processed food they're made with Stone Ground Oats and are loaded with fiber and protein. You can get them in some grocery stores, but almost every specialty store like Wild Oats will have them.
